Clube Naval de Cascais anfitrião de clubes náuticos líderes
O International Council of Yacht Clubs escolheu o Clube Naval de Cascais para acolher a sua Conferência Europeia de 2018. O ICOYC é uma organização internacional de clubes
náuticos que opera ao nível dos grupos de pessoas que lideram cada um dos clubes. Os clubes membros do “Council” são exclusivamente clubes líderes em cada um dos vários locais chave de iatismo, todos têm uma larga experiência que podem partilhar – muitas vezes de forma reservada com os seus pares – e que enfrentam questões semelhantes que podem debater de forma útil. O “Council” opera principalmente através das conferências regionais e mundial.
A conferência europeia deste ano tem lugar de 12-13 Outubro na nossa bonita vila de Cascais e o Clube Naval de Cascais tem a honra de dar as boas vindas aos delegados dos clubes náuticos. O CNC integrou o “Council” em 2017 e tem sido particularmente activo desde essa data por reconhecer a importância de ser parte desta rede global de clubes.
Acerca do ICOYC
O ICOYC é fundamentalmente uma organização “sem objectivo lucrativo” com clubes membros em todas as regiões do globo. Os clubes membros do “Council” são primariamente os clubes seniores em cada um dos vários locais chave do iatismo mundial.
Partilham as mais finas tradições de iatismo, são de uma dimensão tal e com um conjunto de actividades suficiente que lhes permita contribuir para as deliberações do “Council”.
O trabalho em conjunto é realizado de várias formas, desde os Forums mundiais do ICOYC, as Conferências Regionais e o contacto directo entre pares que estabeleceram relações através do seu envolvimento no ICOYC.
A missão do “Council” é a de promover relações mais próximas ao nível de “flag officers” e directores de forma a melhorar a qualidade de iatismo e outros serviços prestados aos seus membros. O “Council” também procura fomentar uma consciência adequada sobre o ambiente e a responsabilidade dos seus clubes membros nesse confronto.

Hosting leading yacht clubs
The International Council of Yacht Clubs has selected Club Naval de Cascais to host their 2018 European Conference. The ICOYC is an international organization that operates at the level of the leadership group within each club. The member clubs of the council are exclusively the leading clubs in the various key yachting locations, all of which have extensive experience that they can share – often in confidence with their peers – and they face similar issues that they can usefully discuss. The council operates primarily through its world and regional conferences.
This year’s European conference is being held between the 12-13 October in our beautiful town of Cascais and Clube Naval is honoured to be welcoming the delegate yacht clubs here. We joined the council in 2017 and have been particular active since then as we recognize the importance of being part of this global network of clubs.
About the ICOYC
ICOYC is primarily a “not for profit” affiliation with member clubs in every region of the globe. Clubs that are members of the Council are primarily the senior yacht clubs in the various key yachting locations around the world. They share the finest yachting traditions and are of a sufficient size, with a sufficient range of activities, to be able to contribute to the deliberations of the Council.
Working together is accomplished by a variety of means, from the worldwide ICOYC’ Forums, the Regional Conferences, and in direct contact between peers, who have established relations through involvement in the ICOYC.
'The Council’s mission is to foster closer relations at Flag Officer and General Management level in order to improve the quality of the yachting and other services they provide to their members. The Council also seeks to promote a proper awareness of the environment and the member club’s responsibility towards it.’
