Qualifications
In accordance with current legislation, the Day Skipper License entitles its holder to command Recreational Boats (ER) in daytime navigation, up to a maximum distance of 10 miles from a safe harbor and up to 3 miles from the coast, according to the following limitations:
From 16 to 18 years old - the license entitles its holder to command recreational boats up to 6m with installed capacity up to 30hp.
For over 18 years old - the license entitles its holder to command a recreational boat up to 12m.
For jet ski there is no limit of installed power, however, it is mandatory to be over 16 years old.
The course is authorized by the DGRM, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 93/2018.
