2nd National Qualifying for the Portugal Cup in the Optimist Class, organized by Clube Naval Portimão, took place from April 4th to 7th. Nine sailors from the Clube Naval Cascais competed in an 80 boats fleet.

In the Optimist U15 category, with 66 participants, Diogo Reis won the championship, followed by Bernardo Neto in 5th, Guilherme Ryder in 15th, Laura Leiria Pinto in 19th overall and 3rd female, Vasco Empis in 24th, Graça Empis in 62nd overall and 14th female.

Among the 14 U13 sailors, Guilherme Costa was the winner (10th overall), while José Leiria Pinto finished 9th (63rd overall), Guilherme Costa in 6th (52nd overall), and Martins Soares Lopes in 13th (76th overall).

Diogo Reis qualified for the World Championship, while Bernardo Neto and Laura Leiria Pinto qualified for the Optimist European Championship.

Clube Naval de Cascais team was coached by Miguel João and Phillip Lekszycki.
